The
first (online) issue will be on the theme,
"Significant Others: R.D.Laing and . . ." and
will feature articles about Laing and his
mentors and collaborators at various stages in
his life. For example, it may include papers
detailing Laing's intellectual relationship with
C.G.Jung and his followers, on Laing and his
erstwhile friend and mentor, Jungian/Buddhist
E.Graham Howe, and/or offerings probing Laing's
relationships with Medard Boss, David Cooper,
Aaron Esterson, Hugh Crawford, and/or anyone
else who loomed large in his intellectual and
professional life. In due course, when issue two
of the journal appears, these papers will be
stored in the digital archive of The Society for
Laingian Studies accessible to Society
members.
